Cleaning wounds and the floor!

Spent the night of the 12th in the marina as we were late getting prepared and it was pretty windy for novices (without a functioning bow thruster).
We were sailing north to McKenzie Bay, Rangitoto testing out how the boat sailed and learning lots when Heather injured her leg quite badly. Managed to cut into the flesh of her shin deeply. First Aid given and we were ready to return to shore for medical treatment but mum insisted on staying out.
Diverted to Isligton Bay for the night. During the night Rosemary managed to injure her leg getting into bed. More blood and first aid and now two injured crew. Headed back to Bayswater on Sunday morning and straight to Urgent Care.
***Update*** even though the injury to mum’s leg was very deep both her and Rosemary’s wounds healed (eventually!!)
